Workplace Based Taining.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of administrative competencies in varied work contexts, using some discretion and judgement. They may provide technical advice and support to a team.

Students must complete a minimum of 13 units to achieve this qualification consisting of 2 core units, 7 administration units and a minimum of 4 elective units. This Program has been packaged to meet industry skill sets and the Victorian purchasing guide requirements.

Entrance Requirements
- All students must undertake and be competent in a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment.
- Students must possess some vocational experience, skills or qualifications equivalent to Certificate II in Business or other relevant qualifications.

Duration
The program is delivered over a maximum period of 18 months (full-time), or 36 months (part-time). ASCET TAFE recommends an average time of 10 months for the training of this qualification. ASCET TAFE will maintain an average of 50 nominal hours of training commenced each month.

You may be able to reduce the duration of the course by applying for Recognition of Prior Learning or Credit Transfer. The recognition and assessment of skills acquired through life experience, work experience or non-accredited/accredited training programs may be requested through the Recognition of Prior Learning process. AQF Qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations will be recognised.
Delivery
The training program is delivered via work place based learning. Student are guided through the program with the assistance of an instructor from ASCET TAFE and the workplace supervisor.
ASCET TAFE will make monthly face to face contact with the student and workplace supervisor. It is a requirement of the program that all Trainees are to be withdrawn from routine work duties for a minimum of 3 hours per week averaged over an four week cycle, for the purpose of structured training.

Assessment
Assessment is used to provide students with feedback on their progress and to measure their skills and knowledge against the training qualification requirements and those of the industry. The assessment process may include written and practical presentations, observation, and may require some time away from the workplace to complete assignments and self-directed exercises.
Outcome / Future Pathways
Upon satisfactory completion of the program, students will receive BSB30407 Certificate III in Business Administration, Nationally recognised.
Participants who successfully complete this qualification have the option of a future pathway into BSB40507 Certificate IV in Business Administration or BSB40807 Certificate IV in Frontline Management.
