Online Delivery

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for people who are either wishing to or are required to deliver training in an industry area, or an area of subject matter expertise, and to conduct competency-based assessment in a range of contexts.

Units

Students must complete a minimum of 14 Units of competency to achieve this qualification consisting of 12 Core units and 2 Elective units.

This program has been packaged to meet industry skill sets and the Victorian Purchasing Guide requirements.

Entrance Requirements

  • All students must undertake and be competent in a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment.
  • All students must have access to the internet and a webcam to upload practical assessments.

Duration

The program is conducted over a suggested 15 week duration with a maximum 5 month time limit. This course involves self directed study, so you may progress at your own pace as long as you complete within 5 months. A minimum self-directed study time allocation of 16 hours per week in this program is recommended for students.

This course is available all through the year and you can start anytime.

You may be able to reduce the duration of the course by applying for Recognition of Prior Learning or Credit Transfer. The recognition and assessment of skills acquired through life experience, work experience or non-accredited/accredited training programs may be requested through the Recognition of Prior Learning process. AQF Qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by other Registered
Training Organisations will be recognised.

Delivery

Students undertake pre-reading, formative activities and prepare assignments between sessions. Students are required to present practical assignments in the video format as part of the essential evidence gathering. This qualification is delivered online via IBSA Learner Management System.

Assessment

Assessment is used to provide students with feedback on their progress and to measure their skills and knowledge against the training qualification requirements and those of the industry. The assessment process will include both theory and practical elements and is completed via assignments, oral questioning, simulated/workplace observations, written tests, third party reports and a portfolio.

Outcome / Future Pathways

Upon satisfactory completion of the program, students will receive TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Nationally Recognised.

Participants who successfully complete this qualification have the option of a future pathway into the following: TAA50104 Diploma of Training and Assessment.
